Specialist Physiotherapist Lucy Byott

Lucy Byott

  • I’m a passionate and proactive physiotherapist with a deep love for movement, rehab, and helping people feel their absolute best. I love working with everyone as we all deserve to be pain-free, I truly believe that.

    My experience spans:

    • NHS and private practice

    • CrossFit gyms and football teams

    • Working with elite athletes, runners, and everyday gym-goers

I offer a wide range of treatments including:

    • Hands-on physiotherapy

    • Sports massage

    • Acupuncture

    • Shockwave therapy

    • 1:1 Clinical Pilates

    • Joint injections

With a strong focus on movement quality and long-term results, I combine evidence-based techniques with a personalised, holistic approach - always aiming to get to the root of the issue, not just the symptoms.

  • After working with everyone from elite sports teams to chronic pain clients, here’s what I believe:

    Your body is capable.
    Your recovery should be too.

Most injuries aren’t lifelong - they just need the right plan.

    I believe in:
    ✔ Movement as medicine
    ✔ Strength over fear
    ✔ Progress over perfection
✔ Building confidence, not just compliance
✔ Treating people, not just pain

    And above all?
Everyone deserves expert care - not just athletes.

  • When I’m not doing physio, you’ll usually find me chasing fresh air and freedom.

I’m most at home in my campervan, hiking up hills, exploring new places, and making the most of life’s adventures - on foot, on wheels, or off-grid.

Whether I’m climbing peaks or brewing coffee by a mountain lake, I believe in moving with purpose and living with balance.

  • My journey isn't typical:

A decade of experience working with:

    • Elite athletes

    • UK Special Forces

    • CrossFit champions

    • Everyday warriors

But here's what makes it different:

While others focused on quick fixes,

    I obsessed over root causes.

    The result?

    I've helped thousands recover from:

    • Chronic injuries others couldn't solve

    • "Permanent" pain that disappeared

    • Issues that kept coming back

    Until they found me.

    Now I'm scaling this impact.

I've built an incredible team at FM Physio Liverpool.

    Because everyone deserves elite-level care.

    Not just athletes.

Want to learn more about our approach?

    Let's connect.

  • Here's what I believe about recovery:

    Most practitioners get it wrong.

    They focus on:

    • Quick fixes

    • Surface-level treatment

    • Temporary solutions

    • Symptom management

    But here's the truth:

    Real recovery requires more.

    My core beliefs:

    1. Every injury tells a story

    The symptoms aren't the problem

    They're just the messenger

    2. Root causes matter

Treating symptoms is like muting an alarm

    Without fixing what triggered it

    3. Recovery is personal

    Cookie-cutter solutions don't work

    Customised care does

    4. Education is essential

Understanding your body Is key to preventing future issues

That's why we built FM Physio differently.

Because beliefs without action are just words.

    Remember:

Your body deserves better than a band-aid solution

    It deserves complete recovery.

  • I don’t just treat movement.
    I live it.

Most physios clock out and go home.
I clock out and hit the trails.

    Here’s my weekly rhythm:

    • Trail running
    • Crushing HYROX workouts
    • Hiking peak distances
    • Practicing functional movement
    • Regular sauna + recovery sessions

    Because walking the talk matters.

How could I guide your recovery if I didn’t:

    • Understand the demands of training
    • Know how the body truly responds
    • Experience the setbacks and breakthroughs myself
    • Test recovery methods on my own body

    This isn’t just a job.
    It’s a lifestyle.

Every trail run teaches me something.
Every HYROX workout pushes my limits.
    Every hike sharpens my understanding.

And all of it makes me a better practitioner.

    Because the best guides?
They’re not standing on the sidelines.
They’re sweating, moving, and learning right alongside you.

Want to work with someone who truly gets it?
    Let’s talk movement.

  • Meet Jordan: Your Back & Hip Pain Specialist 🏋️‍♀️

She's not just another therapist. She's a game-changer in pain management.

    Here's what makes her different:

    • Sports Therapist

    • Qualified Osteomyologist

    • Trainee Chiropractor

    • Fitness enthusiast

    • Specialises in back & hip pain

That's right - she's mastering multiple disciplines to give you the best possible care.

  • Jordan believes true healing comes from a powerful combination of:

    • Hands-on treatment

    • Skeletal alignment

    • Muscle rehabilitation

    • Psychological well-being

Because your body isn't just physical.

Your pain isn't just mechanical. Your recovery isn't just about stretches.

It's about treating YOU as a whole person.

  • I’m currently training to become a chiropractor, so a big part of my life is dedicated to learning, growing, and becoming the best therapist I can be.

When I’m not studying or in clinic, you’ll find me spending quality time with family, training in the gym, or catching up with friends.

I genuinely love getting to know the people I work with - hearing their stories, supporting their progress, and watching them grow in strength and confidence.

Helping people feel better and move better is what drives me - and sharing that journey with them is the best part of the job.

  • My journey treating bodies around the world has taught me ONE thing:

Your body keeps the receipts of everything you do to it.

From desk warriors with tech neck to ultra-marathoners pushing limits... I've seen it ALL.

    My experience:

    • BSc qualified Sports Therapist

    • Level 3 Personal Trainer certification

    • Worked across chiropractic clinics in the UK & Australia

    • Treated athletes prepping for 30 marathons in 30 days (yes, really!)

For the past 2 years, I've been traveling and treating everyone from:

    • Corporate professionals whose bodies are SCREAMING from 8+ hours of sitting

    • Athletes demanding peak performance for extreme challenges

The human body is INCREDIBLE, but only if you understand how to maintain it.

  • Prevention is just as important as treatment.

Your body is SCREAMING to be understood.

We obsess over fixing what's broken, but completely ignore maintaining what works.

    Here's what I believe:

    • Prehab > Rehab (Prevention ALWAYS beats cure)

    • Post-injury doesn't mean weaker - it's an opportunity to rebuild STRONGER

    • Understanding your body isn't optional - it's ESSENTIAL

    • Movement is a gift - treat it that way

Every time you move, you're either strengthening or weakening your future self.

    So which will you choose?

  • Outside of the clinic, I’m all about movement, family, and the outdoors.

I love spending quality time with my family, getting out into the fresh air, and staying active — whether that’s hiking through the hills, hitting a tough gym session, or training for the next HYROX or CrossFit challenge.

I’m passionate about training others too — helping people push limits, stay strong, and enjoy the process along the way.

And when I’m not lifting, hiking, or coaching?
You’ll probably find me planning my next trip, exploring somewhere new, or soaking up nature with my favourite people.

  • From international karate to elite sports therapy:

My journey taught me one thing.

    Pain doesn't discriminate.

    But neither does recovery.

    I've treated:

    • Premier League academies

    • Professional rugby players

    • Elite martial artists

    • Motorsport champions

    But my proudest work?

Transforming chronic pain cases others gave up on.

  • After treating elite athletes and chronic pain cases, here's what I believe:

    Your body isn't broken.

    Your approach might be.

    Most therapists focus on:

    • Quick fixes

    • Passive treatments

    • Temporary relief

    I believe in more:

    • Pain isn't permanent.

    • Movement is medicine.

    • Recovery is a skill.

    • Strength can be rebuilt.

    • Limits are mostly mental

    But my biggest belief?

    Everyone deserves elite-level care.

  • The martial arts mindset changed everything.

Competing internationally in Karate taught me lessons I use daily in clinic:

    Precision matters

    Small adjustments make massive differences

    Mental strength drives physical recovery

My 2nd dan black belt wasn't just about fighting.

    It was about understanding:

    • Movement mastery

    • Body awareness

    • Mental resilience

    • Progressive development

These principles transform how I treat:

    • Every patient is unique

    • Every movement has purpose

    • Every recovery needs discipline
